Browser
To view Los Angeles Cold Storage's web site you will need
a browser that supports frames; either Netscape Navigator
3.x or greater, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x or
greater. We recommend using a version 4.x or greater browsers
for optimal viewing.
Acrobat Reader
Most documents on Los Angeles Cold Storage's web site
are in Adobe's Acrobat (PDF) format. To view these documents,
either online in your browser or offline on your PC, you
need Acrobat Reader installed on your PC. Acrobat Reader
is usually installed with the operating system but is
also available free for downloading from Adobe's www.adobe.com
site. Acrobat Reader version 3.x or higher is required
but version 4.x or greater is recommended for use with
Windows PCs (it corrects several printing bugs in version
3.x).
Viewing PDFs online
PDF documents on our web site can be viewed online, within
your browser, if your browser is configured that way (it
is the usual default but there are exceptions or the default
may have been changed). If your browser is configured
in this manner, selecting a PDF link should open a window
within your browser and you will see the first part of
the document (it will continue to download in the background
as you scroll through the document).
Downloading
PDFs and viewing offline (RECOMMENDED METHOD)
Alternatively, you can download the PDF document directly
to your PC and view/print it as required. With this method
you will always have the document on your hard disk available
for viewing (unless you delete it). This is the recommended
method, especially for large documents, since you can
quickly re-open the document at a later date and is less
error prone than viewing online with some older browsers.
To download PDF documents directly to your PCs disk:
* MS Windows: Right-Click on the PDF link and select "Save
Target As" in the popup menu. Save the document to
your preferred folder.
* Apple Macintosh: Option-Click on the PDF link and select
"Download Link to Disk" in the popup menu. Save
to to your preferred folder.
After the document has finished downloading, locate the
document on your PC and open it to view/print as required.
